A Hero for All Ages: Ida Keeling

Ida Keeling is an American track and field athlete. Born in 1915, Keeling is a colossal force of nature.  She holds Masters Records in 60 meter and 100 meter distances for women in the 95-99 and 100-plus age groups. Did I mention that she is 102 years old? And started running when she was 67?? Though she was always active, it was her daughter that eventually got the now legendary track and field athlete into running at age 67 by asking her to go on a "mini run" with her. "I didn't know until 2008 that it was a 5K… I just kept running," she says.

Ms. Ida started running due to the untimely events of her two sons due to drug abuse. She is the author of the book:  Can't Nothing Bring Me Down: Chasing Myself in the Race against Time.  If you are looking for inspiration, read it today!
